Regional Sales Manager / West Coast

Job Status: Full-time

ReQuest, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to manage our sales and presence on the west coast. This individual will have the opportunity to have immediate impact through successfully building relationships with the territory rep agencies and dealers in the region. An ideal candidate will be based in central California, Arizona or Nevada.

  • Successfully build relationships with the territory rep agencies and dealers to increase sales and profit levels
  • Service and support rep agencies and dealers while taking the business to the next level.
  • Work with rep agencies and dealers to develop innovative sales strategies and programs, customized to meet their needs to initiate and drive sales.
  • Effectively communicate internally and externally in order to successfully execute all programs that will drive sales to the end customer.
  • Coordinate and run programs that will train all partners, dealers and rep agencies in the channel how to be successful selling and representing ReQuest products.
  • Expected travel 50% - 75%

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the consumer electronics marketplace- specifically CEDIA, residential AV equipment, security or installation companies.
  • Proven success resolving channel conflict, teaching, training and communicating a technical product.
  • Advanced technical understanding of networking and audio distribution systems
  • Proven track record in achieving quarterly and yearly sales goals
  • Excellent communication, customer service and account management skills
  • Enthusiastic, innovative and self-motivated personality
  • Familiarity with remote reporting through web-based business software
  • BS/BA degree preferred

Windows XP Embedded System Administrator

Job Status:  TEMPORARY/ Full-time

ReQuest is seeking a qualified Windows XP Embedded (XPe) system administrator to be responsible for building, imaging, and deploying Windows XP Embedded in a consumer device environment. This role will include building the XPe runtime environment, deploying custom drivers and applications, cloning the system onto several hundred devices, and creating software update/installation/recovery CDs.

  • Create and build Windows XP Embedded image from the Windows Embedded Studio
  • Installation of custom drivers and applications in XPe environment
  • Platform stability and customization for product branding
  • Television video and audio output driver tuning
  • Use of read-only media, such as Compact Flash, with the Enhanced Write Filter (EWF)
  • Configuration of BIOS for best customer experience
  • Deployment to consumer devices
  • Creation of update media and online update environment
  • May require some software development in C, C++, Visual C++, .Net, C#, and Python.

Qualifications:
BS in a related field, Computer Science major is preferred. 2+ years of work experience. Experience with Windows XP Embedded as well as UNIX and Windows systems administration in addition to the following:

  • BS in Computer Science. Any additional certifications is a definite plus.
  • Experience performing programming tasks (PHP/Javascript/etc). Web design and programming, Adobe Flash a plus.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
Develop high quality software solutions for our custom, high end consumer electronics products. You will work on new feature development and product enhancement for new and existing product lines. You will participate in all phases of the projects including analysis, design, implementation, and testing of new or enhanced systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a very talented and dedicated team.  The position reports to the Vice-President of Product Development.

Requirements:

  • BS Computer Science; MS Preferred
  • 5+ years experience in OO software design and development; consumer product or embedded experience a plus
  • 5+ years experience
    • Developing in C++. Java, C# and web development a plus.
    • Developing under Unix (Linux, Solaris, HPUX, AIX)
    • Developing Windows applications. Windows driver development a plus.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, OO methodologies, event driven programming, multi-threaded programming, PC hardware
  • Experience with open source development a plus (kernel builds/config, profilers, memory leak tools, etc)
  • Experience with system level programming a plus (device drivers, protocols, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of and/or experience programming in Adobe Flash a plus.
  • Highly reliable and organized person that is detail oriented
  • Creative problem solver

Customer Service Technician / Technical Support

We are currently seeking a Customer Service and Technical Support Specialist to join our world class Customer Service Center!

Primary responsibilities include providing comprehensive service and technical support for our clients in the consumer electronics industry.

You will also be performing some sales-related activities, but primarily servicing our dealers with top notch customer service and technical support on the installation, use and troubleshooting of our products.

Candidates must be committed to delivering results in a timely fashion and providing a superior level of service to our customers.

General Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical sales support to new and existing customer base, partners and internal personnel for the application and use of Request product lines.

  • Provide personalized service (telephone and/or written) that meet or exceed customer s time and quality expectations.  
  • Professionally interact with all customers both external and internal demonstrating a high proficiency to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.  
  • Participate in team settings to improve products and/or service to all our customers.  
  • Provide training demonstrations as required to reps, dealers and internal customers.

Requirements:

We are seeking a proven customer service professional with outstanding communication skills and 2 years of successful customer service experience providing outstanding technical support.  Candidates must have an aptitude and experience supporting computer related issues. 

  • Attention to detail, problem resolution, and workload prioritization.  
  • *Minimally, an associate s degree in a technical discipline.  Bachelor s degree is preferred.  
  • Two + years technical support and troubleshooting, consultative sales, software development or computer networking skills  
  • Computer skills: strong typing skills, familiarity with CRM systems, Excel, MS Office products, Internet, and networking a must.  
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.  
  • Complex problem solving, negotiating, time management and conflict resolution skills  
  • Experience with Web Based Applications & Windows

Product Technician

We are seeking a qualified Product Technician to work in our active assembly and repair department. This position will be responsible for all aspects of assembly and repair of audio and video units including assembly, testing, quality control and packaging of units as required.
